JSPORT’s debut EP, Out of Bounds was a breakout that cemented their place
as one of the most visionary new voices in underground club music.
The project made waves internationally, earning a Pitchfork feature,
placement on Apple Music’s curated playlist by Yaeji, and DJ support from
festivals around the globe, including Dekmantel and Unsound.
Across five tracks, JSPORT fused “bass pulse with deep syncopation and
reverence for the 2 a.m. night sweats” (Pitchfork), crafting a celebration of
diasporic rhythm and underground futurism.
Bandcamp hailed the EP for its “confidence and maturity rare in a debut,”
while Resident Advisor praised its expansive sonic design: “JSPORT’s tuned
percussion speaks for itself—a powerful, creative take on hard drum from
a strong voice in an often underrepresented American dance music city.”
With soca, baile funk, UK bassline, and experimental club at its core,
Out of Bounds delivered an electrifying, genre-blurring statement that set a new
bar for global dance music.
